Call greeting

A clear greeting, in French and English

You build the menu in the portal: each key leads to an extension, a group, a voicemail box, the extension directory or the AI receptionist. If the caller presses nothing, the call goes where you planned.

Hours

Your hours, Québec's holidays

Set your hours for each day of the week (Montréal time). Check “Québec holidays” and the system closes on those days by itself, following Québec's labour standards. Add your own closures: construction holiday, inventory, holiday party.

Good Friday is used by default; you can pick Easter Monday instead.

Record every outside call or only on demand. Either way, the other person hears a notice before any recording, in French first. Internal calls are not recorded.

Recordings are deleted automatically after 90 days by default. You can change the period and the message.

Does the auto-attendant speak French and English?

Yes. The greeting menu (“For sales, press 1”) is French first, with an English version. Use text-to-speech or your own recorded greeting.

Are Québec holidays handled?

Yes. You set your business hours and the system can close automatically on Québec statutory holidays (New Year's Day, Good Friday, National Patriots' Day, Fête nationale, Canada Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas), plus your own closures. After-hours calls go where you choose: voicemail, an on-call mobile or the AI receptionist.

Can calls be recorded?

Yes, with Business Pro. A message always tells the other person before any recording (“This call may be recorded…”). Recordings are deleted after 90 days by default; you can change this period.

9-1-1 over the internet has limits. Each line registers an address for 9-1-1; tell your employees about these limits. Read the 9-1-1 page
